Joel Jonker - Founder- CPESC
Since his early days of performing hand installations of silt fence, Joel Jonker, founder of Down To Earth Compliance, LLC (DTEC) has been involved in every facet of the industry and has established DTEC as the true leader in the industry.
Joel has been a member of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) since 1995 and is an active member with the Mountain States chapter. Joel Holds the title of CPESC and is also a Certified Erosion Control Supervisor for CDOT projects. Joel served as the founding chair of Denver’s HBA Stormwater Committee. He has consulted for national compliance contracting companies, engineering companies, and product manufacturers. He has been a presenter and panelist for numerous HBA and national stormwater training events including the National Stormwater Summit and the Land Development Conference in Washington D.C.
Joel graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He attended the University of Denver’s Graduate School in International Studies from 1990 to 1993, graduating with a Master’s degree in International Affairs.
Joel is active in the community. He served as President of the Volunteers in Action and has been involved in a special mentoring program focusing on assisting individuals entering the work force.
Joel has a gift of not taking himself seriously and inspires his entire team to have fun while delivering outstanding results to every client.
